About Galicia

Calicia, which is also sometimes known as Galiza, is situated in the north western part of the country of Spain ans has the status of being an independent community. There are a number of provinces which form a part of Galicia, and they are Ourense, Pontevedra, Lugo, and A Coruna. The independent community of Galicia is surrounded by Portugal, Castile, Asturias and Leon which are Spanish regions, and the Atlantic Ocean to the south, the east, and the west and north respectively.
